Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 30, 2026

Enrollment at Grace’s Piano Studio includes agreement to the studio policies and terms, including communication, required materials, arrival and pickup, illness, behavior expectations, tuition, attendance, media permissions, withdrawal, policy updates, and release of liability.

Communication

Grace’s Piano Studio communicates with parents, adult students, and prospective families by text, phone, email, and Practice Space.

Parents may call or text the studio at (260) 305-8200 for quick communication during business hours or email gracespianostudiofortwayne@gmail.com for more detailed questions or scheduling concerns.

By submitting an inquiry, booking a trial lesson, or enrolling in lessons, families agree to receive SMS/MMS messages from Grace’s Piano Studio about inquiries, trial lessons, enrollment, scheduling, lesson reminders, studio announcements, recital details, billing-related reminders, and other lesson-related communication.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out.

Students may contact their teacher through Practice Space for lesson questions, practice videos, and feedback between lessons.

Parent Involvement

Students progress faster when parents help support consistent practice at home, especially for younger students. Parents of students under 13 should plan to help their child stay accountable with regular, structured practice.

Required Materials

Students should bring all necessary lesson materials to each lesson, including lesson books, their music binder, and any supplemental music or materials.

Students should also have an appropriate instrument for home practice. An 88-key piano or keyboard with weighted keys is strongly recommended.

Arrival & Pickup

Please do not enter the house more than two minutes before your scheduled lesson time.

Lessons and classes begin promptly. Late arrivals do not extend the lesson time, since that would affect the next class.

Each class may end a few minutes early to allow for a smooth transition between students.

Parents are responsible for safe drop-off and pickup before and after lesson time.

Illness

Please do not send your child to lessons if they have a contagious illness, head lice, bed bugs, or another condition that could affect other students or the studio household.

If a student arrives visibly contagious, the lesson may end immediately and a parent will be contacted for pickup.

Studio Environment

My children are cared for by a regular babysitter elsewhere in the house during lesson times. Occasionally, one of them may briefly appear in the lesson space.

For everyone’s safety and focus, students should not physically interact with them.

In the rare event that I need to step away briefly to address a childcare need, students are expected to continue working independently on their assigned material.

Behavior Expectations

Students are expected to participate respectfully and cooperatively.

I am comfortable redirecting students as needed, but if a student refuses to cooperate after redirection, displays violent behavior, talks back, or intentionally damages studio or personal property, I reserve the right to end the lesson or class immediately. A parent will be contacted for pickup, and the lesson will be forfeited.

These expectations help keep the studio safe, respectful, and focused for every student.

Media Release

Photos, videos, audio, and testimonials taken during lessons, classes, events, or performances may be used by Grace’s Piano Studio for studio communication, marketing, social media, website content, and promotional materials, unless a separate media arrangement has been made.

Withdrawal & Policy Updates

Enrollment is ongoing with a month-to-month commitment. Written notice is required before the next billing date to discontinue enrollment.

Studio policies may be updated as the needs of the studio and students change. Important policy changes will be communicated to enrolled families. Continued enrollment means acceptance of the most current studio policies.

Release of Liability

Participation in piano lessons, studio events, recitals, activities, and related communication involves ordinary risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness exposure, emotional stress, damage to personal property, or other unexpected incidents.

By enrolling, the parent/guardian voluntarily assumes these risks and agrees to release and hold harmless Grace’s Piano Studio, its owner, teachers, assistants, contractors, volunteers, and representatives from claims, losses, injuries, damages, or liabilities connected with participation in studio lessons, events, activities, or use of studio-related materials and communication, except where prohibited by law.

In the event of an emergency, the parent/guardian gives permission for Grace’s Piano Studio to seek medical treatment for the student and understands that the parent/guardian is responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
